Completed the phase 1 of salvaging from ship Heung-A Dragon

After 10 days of deployment, yesterday December 3, rescuer force of Southern Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation and team Svitzer Salvage Co. (Netherland) - HAIVANSHIP (Vietnam) salvaged all of containers from the ship Heung – A Dragon (phase 1). All 96 containers now were assembled to Dong Xuyen Iz (Vung Tau city) for waiting to hand-over to ship owner.

Mr.Le Van Chien, Director of Southern Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation  said that: Together with the salvage of containers, rescuer team are expeditiously conducting to pump 400 tons of fuel oil, 40 tons of diesel oil and 35 tons of LO oil in the tanks of ships Heung - A Dragon.

According to rescuers at the scene, the salvage of containers and pumping oil from the ship Heung - A Dragon were conducted safely, had no unfortunate incidents. So far, rather bad weather at sea in recent days has significantly affected the progress of rescue.
