M.V SHINRYO MARU is the first vessel berthing at Van Phong Terminal for Coal transport
03 HVS tugs (Sea Boxer 1 ASD 3000HP, Sea Boxer 2 ASD 4000HP, Tien Thang twin screw 4024HP) assisting M.V SHINRYO MARU berthing at Van Phong BOT Terminal - (Khanh Hoa province).
Van Phong 1 is a 1,320MW super-critical coal-fired power plant in Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.
The £2.2bn ($2.6bn) project is being developed on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis by Van Phong Power Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan-based Sumitomo Corporation.
Van Phong 1 power project is backed by a 25-year power purchase agreement with state-owned utility Vietnam Electricity (EVN).
HVS will be in charge of:
- Coal receiving, jetty and port operation and management
- Tugboat provision
