Haivanship Demonstrates Emergency Response Excellence in Oil Spill Drill at Long Son Port

On June 28, 2023, Haivanship (HVS) collaborated with Long Son Petrochemicals (LSP) Port to conduct a comprehensive oil spill response exercise at Long Son Port, Vung Tau. This drill was designed to evaluate and enhance the port's emergency preparedness for potential maritime incidents.

Drill Overview:
The exercise simulated a fire outbreak on the port bridge, requiring immediate firefighting and oil spill containment measures. Key actions included:

  • Fire Suppression: HVS's fleet of agile tugboats worked in tandem with the port's firefighting systems, creating an impressive water spray display to extinguish the simulated fire.

  • Oil Spill Containment: Following the fire suppression, HVS deployed the Sky 1 tugboat—a mobile oil spill response station equipped with state-of-the-art recovery equipment—to effectively deploy oil containment booms.

This successful drill underscores Haivanship's commitment to maritime safety and its capability to handle complex emergency scenarios.
