Haivanship Successfully Assists the Arrival and Berthing of OOCL SPAIN, the World's Largest Container Vessel, at Gemalink Port

On March 30, 2023, Haivanship proudly assisted in the successful docking of OOCL SPAIN, the world’s largest container vessel, at Gemalink Port, located in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Vietnam. With an impressive length of 399.99 meters and a beam of 61.3 meters, OOCL SPAIN is a remarkable vessel, weighing 237,000 DWT and capable of carrying up to 24,188 TEUs (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units). Built in 2023, this giant ship continues to set new records in the maritime industry and serves as a key asset for the global shipping giant, OOCL.

Haivanship's expert tugboat fleet was crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient berthing of this enormous vessel. The skilled team deployed four state-of-the-art Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) tugboats, which demonstrated the precision and power required to handle such a massive operation.
