Haivan Shipping - Services Corporation (Haivanship - HVS) is proud of being one of the leading companies in towage, oil spill response, shipping agency and transshipment services in the Southern Part of Vietnam. We, along with Oldendorff Carriers GmbH (OC) - a large, famous German company in shipping and transshipment, are investors of the Coal Transshipment Project for Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plan (NS2 TPP). HVS and OC will operate new built specialized vessels of 21,500 DWT (Transhipper) to transfer coal from ocean going vessel at Nghi Son anchorage to Nghi Son 2 TPP terminal at Nghi Son, Thanh Hoa, Vietnam.

On January 25, 2021, the first vessel of the Project - CALYPSO arrived Vung Tau, Vietnam to have final preparations for Nghi Son operation. CALYPSO is a newly built vessel specifically designed to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions, self-unloading, and is the first bulk carrier to be equipped with a modern, large capacity ABB Azipod electric propulsion system, maneuverability. The vessel also has a shore power connector so that no emissions are generated in port.
